On the evening of Wednesday, May 24, the 13th Annual Chester County Emergency Medical Services Council annual awards banquet was held at the Red Clay Room at the Kennett Fire Company in Kennett Square.

This year Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS was well represented. Awards were received by staff in three categories: Clinical Save, Life Saving Clinical Excellence, and Pre-Hospital Delivery.

The categories are defined as follows:

Clinical Save: This award is presented to a member of an emergency services community who was involved in a pre-hospital clinical cave of a patient who initially is pulseless and apneic; ALS & BLS interventions or treatment was rendered and the patient was discharged from the hospital

Life Saving Clinical Excellence: This award is presented to emergency services personnel who were involved in saving a patient's life where signs were showing imminent danger of death and ALS or BLS interventions or treatments were rendered and the patient was discharged from the hospital

Pre-Hospital Delivery: This award is presented to emergency services personnel who assisted in the birth of a baby in the field
