12th Annual Chester County EMS Awards

The Chester County EMS council held the 12th annual Chester County EMS awards ceremony in the Red Clay room at the Kennet Square fire company last night, where several EHBAEMS employees were honored for services rendered.

EMT's Kevin McCarthy and Jose Santiago were both awarded with a "Pre-hospital Delivery Commendation", which is awarded to personnel who assisted in the delivery of a baby in the field. EMT McCarthy & Santiago assisted with the delivery of a baby girl on the morning of February 20th 2016 in Honey Brook Twp at 05:28hrs.

Elverson Division Captain Joshua Schreiber was awarded with the "BLS Practitioner Of The Year", which is presented to an EMT who has made a significant contribution in the community and shows great leadership in the field and among his peers.

Also in attendance receiving awards on behalf of other agencies for which they work were EMT's Kelly Ratcliff and Regina Solecki who were presented with a "Life Saving Clinical Excellence Commendation", which is presented to emergency services personnel who were involved in saving a patient's life where signs were showing imminent danger of death and ALS or BLS interventions or treatments were rendered and the patient was discharged from the hospital.

EMT David Morrow who was also presented with a "Pre-hospital Delivery Commendation".

EMT's Kevin Bambrick and Steven Beiermeister were awarded with a "Clinical Save Commendation" which is awarded to a responder who was involved in a pre-hospital clinical save of a patient who initially is pulseless and apneic, ALS or BLS interventions or treatment were rended and the patient was discharged from the hospital. Honey Brook Division Lieutenant David Wallace was awarded with double "Clinical Save Commendations"
