10:27hrs - Ambulance 89-2 staffed by EMT'S Lori Plank and Brian Barrett were dispatched along with Brandywine Hospital paramedic 93-1 staffed by Craig Schaffer to a private residence in Elverson for an "Unresponsive Person" in the garage of the residence. The EMS crew which was assisting Ambulance 89-1 with another serious call in the local responded immediately upon dispatch,within minutes of the initial dispatch, the call was upgraded to a "Cardiac Arrest" with a family member giving CPR to the patient, hearing the upgraded nature EMS Chief Carmen (89-20) also responded to the scene. Within (4) minutes Ambulance 89-2 arrived on scene and took over CPR from the family member, with paramedic 93-1 and 89-20 arriving on location within 2 minutes of the ambulance.

The crew of Ambulance 89-2 delivered a shock to the patient via the AED which brought the patient back into a life sustaining rhythm, EMS rapidly package the patient and began transport to a local hospital. During transport to the hospital the patient was fully conscious and speaking with EMS crews. The patient was expected to make a full recovery.

In the late morning hours of 6/21/2016 this very same individual entered the Elverson station carrying a fruit platter and thankful well wishes to the crew which saved their life.
