It is with deepest regrets that Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS announces the passing of Life Member and long time volunteer Ira Mast. Ira began his service to the former Elverson Fire Company in 1949 volunteering for Fire and EMS duties. He served as Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Treasurer and served on the ambulance committee. Ira volunteered his time and skills as an Emergency Medical Technician for many years for the ambulance division and had a positive impact on countless patients. Ira originally owned the land that the current Fire/EMS station sits on. Our sympathies go out to all of his family and friends, he will be greatly missed. Funeral and viewing services will be held this Friday 10/14/2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Garden Spot Village Chapel in New Holland with burial services to follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Elverson.
