10/10/21 @ 17:31hrs – On the evening of 10/10/21 Ambulance 89-1 and paramedic 193 received the dispatch to assist station 73 with an auto accident involving fire on Conestoga Rd in the area of Moores Rd in East Nantmeal Township. Additional information reported to be a head on collision with confirmed injuries with flames from the engine compartment of an SUV.

The vehicle on fire being unoccupied, with vehicles and patients blocking the roadway. Bystanders who came upon the accident assisted in assisting the patients away from the flaming vehicles prior to emergency personnel arriving on location.

Chief 73 arrived on location to confirm the report, requesting additional ALS and BLS units and closing the roadway. Ambulance 89-1 arrived on location simultaneously with paramedic 193 and immediately began treatment. Additional EMS units into the scene included Uwchlan, Downingtown and EHBEMS.

Firefighters from Ludwig’s Corner extinguished the fire which involved both vehicles, the fire was placed under control at 17:47hrs. Multiple patients were transported to facilities for treatment of their injuries.

All units were clear of the scene at 18:32hrs.
