EHBEMS would like to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Christopher Dunlap on his promotion to full-time status with the Caernarvon Township Police Department! Chris has been Chris is our longest tenured employee within EHBEMS having proudly served the department and community for 19 years, Chris served as an EMT, then as Lieutenant before being promoted into the role as Captain in 2017, a position he has held since.

With his new full time commitment to the police department, Chris has made the decision to step down as Captain within EHBEMS, however he will stay on part-time with our organization.

The officers and board of directors of EHBEMS have a few words we’d like to share….

Executive Director: Stephen Bobella - "While many people view EMS as a profession, Chris always displayed a passion not only in serving the community but his coworkers every time he put on the uniform. Good luck with your new career and thank you for your service!"

EMS Chief Joe Carmen: - "Chris is a great provider, friend and officer for EHBEMS. His dedication is greatly appreciated and he will be sorely missed! Thank you for all the years of unmatched service in caring for the people of our area. Good luck with your new career Officer Dunlap!"

Lieutenant Christopher Eno: - "Thanks to Chris for showing me the ropes as an officer of a career department, which is quite obviously run differently than a volunteer department. Thank you as well as thanks for your friendship all these years on and off of the clock. It was a pleasure and honestly fun being a regular partner with you on the ambulance, and I look forward to working with you on the street. Best Wishes for a long and safe career with the PD... By the way, where's that 5 bucks you owe me?"

Lieutenant J. McCully: - "I'm so glad that Chris will be staying in some capacity in our department while continuing to serve the community in his role in law enforcement, because when you lose someone with as much knowledge, experience and dedication it can be devastating to a department. Chris has been a leader in the department for my duration with the company, so we're thankful to keep him, even if only in a part time occasional capacity. I consider myself lucky to have been one of Chris's regular partners on a frequent weekly basis for so many years, I learned a lot from him and we ran some pretty serious calls together including when the tornado hit Morgantown. Thank you Chris for your advice, wisdom, friendship and guidance, especially when I myself stepped into an officer position within the department. I'll see you on the street my friend."
