This afternoon Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS Chief / Director Of Operations Joseph Carmen graduated from the Delaware County Community College nursing program, having successfully completed the challenging 2 year RN program while simultaneously running the daily operations of EHBEMS along with being a faithful loving husband / father to his large family.

Most impressively, Chief Carmen was able to successfully handle each challenge placed before him, both professionally and personally while dealing with the public health crisis of our lifetime, the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic brought an abundance of issues, such as training difficulties and supply and workforce shortages, forcing many changes both operationally and administratively in order to adapt and overcome the pandemic. Yet, Chief Carmen rose to meet the challenge showing tireless dedication to our communities, the members of EHBEMS and his family.
