On Monday, March 27 2023, Elverson Honey Brook EMS and TowerDirect were dispatched to assist Well Flight with an Emergency Transport to the city. As a result of an unexpected mechanical issue, the flight crew was unable to complete the transport and made an emergency landing out of an abundance of caution. The patient was transferred to the Elverson Honey Brook ambulance while still under the highly competent care of the critical care flight crew. All three organizations successfully worked together to maintain continuity of patient care.

WellFlight is a partnership between Air Methods and WellSpan Health, an integrated health system based in Gettysburg, PA with a new bird stationed at Stevens Fire Company in Lancaster PA. They provide emergency air medical transport services for the most critically injured or sick patients.

We are excited to have them serving our area with seasoned pilots and a licensed medical flight nurse and paramedic, keeping high-quality care and patient safety a top priority.

Again, job well done to all in this high stress situation.
