Dual Ambulance Response To Caernarvon Township Lancaster County

On October 3rd, 2023, at 11:05 the Caernarvon Township Fire Company (Churchtown) along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS were dispatched to the area of Main Street and N. Red School Roads in Caernarvon Township Lancaster County for an auto accident.

Ambulance 89, Ambulance 189, Chief 89 (Welch) made the response to the scene and were advised by the Lancaster County 911 Center of 2 subjects that needed to be checked. Station 34 units were the first arriving unit to find a 2-vehicle accident with the occupants standing outside of their respective vehicles.

Station 34 units controlled the hazards on the vehicles and also provided traffic control for responders who were operating on the scene. Ambulance 89 was the first arriving ambulance and their crew split to triage the scene for potential patients. Ambulance 189 arrived a short time later and was directed to their respective patient by EHB EMS Lieutenant (Motter). Chief 89 (Welch) arrived and assisted the EMS crews with patient care.

Station 34 and Elverson-Honey Brook EMS cleared the scene at 11:37 am and turned the scene over to the Pennsylvania State Police as they were awaiting the arrival of a tow company.
