At the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council general meeting today, Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS was voted in as a member of the Board of Directors. This new, enhanced roll will improve the ability for our needs and concerns to be heard at the state level. Our organization will be able to help guide state wide priorities and participate in the process that creates protocols, initiatives, pilot programs, and standards. This also will help ensure that the needs or our community and the needs of communities like ours are heard at the state level. From the PEHSC website: The Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council (PEHSC) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. The core mission of the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council is to serve as an independent advisory body to The Pennsylvania Department of Health and all other appropriate agencies on matters pertaining to Emergency Medical Services. As an advocate for its diverse member organizations, PEHSC’s ultimate purpose is to foster improvements in the quality and delivery of emergency health services throughout the Commonwealth.
