Serious Accident In Caernarvon Township-Berks County |

On July 2nd, 2025, at 20:04 Twin Valley Fire Department along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS and Tower Direct Paramedics were dispatched to the area of Morgantown Road at the on ramp to Route 176 for a vehicle accident. Twin Valley Fire Department units along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS and Tower Direct Paramedics made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported a vehicle and a motorcycle were involved with the rider of the motorcycle down in the roadway. Additional callers reported the motorcyclist to be in serious condition. Chief 69 (Hornberger) arrived and requested EMS units to expedite and requested a helicopter on standby while also requesting a 2nd BLS to the scene. Chief 69 held the command for this incident and the Chester County 911 Center advised that PennStar 1 had a 13-minute ETA to the scene once the flight was accepted. Fire and EMS crews worked collaboratively OnScene to provide the patient with the best possible care. Due to the patient being in critical condition it was decided to stand down the helicopter and transport the patient by ground to an area trauma center. Twin Valley Fire Department units remained on the scene to assist the Caernarvon Township Police Department with lighting of the scene and traffic control.
