| Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS has long been committed to protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our residents and those in the surrounding communities. In addition to providing emergency medical services, EHBEMS continues to serve as a community partner in addressing the ongoing opioid crisis across Pennsylvania. Through our partnership with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, EHBEMS provides Narcan (naloxone) free of charge to community members who may need it. This lifesaving medication is available to individuals and families, as well as local businesses, faith-based organizations, and other community groups who want to be prepared in the event of an opioid overdose emergency. At this time, we are the only EMS agency in Chester County participating in this program and are able to serve the broader region. As opioid-related emergencies continue to rise, we are renewing our efforts to ensure this resource is readily available, particularly for those who may be most at risk. Our goal is to provide support, education, and access without judgment. We believe every life is important and deserves the opportunity for intervention and recovery. If you or someone you know would benefit from having Narcan available, please visit our Elverson station at 4458 Main Street, Elverson, PA 19520, or contact Battalion Chief Ostrowski at 610-286-8925, option 3, for more information. Narcan is available at no cost, with no questions asked. Together, we can help save lives. |
