| Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS was proud to support our neighbors at Western Berks EMS during the annual Star Spangled Spectacular in Berks County on the Fourth of July. Although severe weather ultimately forced the event to end before the scheduled fireworks display, our crews remained on scene alongside the Berks County Sheriff's Office and Western Berks EMS to help ensure the fairgrounds were cleared safely and efficiently. Earlier in the evening, our personnel treated a small number of attendees for minor heat-related illnesses. Fortunately, all patients were evaluated, treated, and released on scene, allowing them to continue enjoying the festivities until the weather changed. Large community events like this require teamwork behind the scenes, and we are grateful for the opportunity to assist. We extend our sincere thanks to Western Berks EMS, the Berks County Sheriff's Office, event organizers, and the many public safety partners who worked together to keep the event safe despite the challenging weather. Serving our communities extends beyond emergency responses. Opportunities like these allow us to support our partners, connect with the public, and help ensure that community events remain safe and enjoyable for everyone. We look forward to working together again next year under clearer skies. |
