Heavy rain and wind expected: Turn Around, Don't Drown!

Public Service Announcement!
As some of our southern states gear up to take a hit from Tropical Storm Ophelia, our area is expected to experience heavy rainfall and winds starting this evening, Friday, September 22 until the morning hours on Sunday, September 24 from her spiral rainbands.
Please exercise extreme caution in your weekend travel plans as we do have some areas prone to flooding. Remember - Turn Around, Don't Drown! As little as 6 inches of flood waters can sweep an adult off their feet and as low as 18 to 24 inches can sweep a car, truck, or SUV off the roadway. Your life and the lives of our community first responders are not worth the few moments you are trying to save by crossing the water. Find an alternate route or forgo plans. From everyone here at Elverson Honey Brook EMS, stay safe and have a great weekend!
