Earlier today, members of Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS attended the grand reopening of Walmart in Elverson to take part in the celebration and connect with members of our community.
This event gave us a great opportunity to spend time with families, answer questions about what we do, and give a closer look at some of the tools and equipment we use every day. Kids got a chance to explore the inside of an ambulance, see our gear up close, and learn how EMS helps people during emergencies. We are always glad to help children feel more comfortable around emergency vehicles and responders. It helps make any future encounters less scary and more familiar.
We also took the time to talk with adults and parents about our services and how EMS plays a role in supporting the health and safety of our community. Whether it was a conversation about what to do in an emergency, how to recognize the signs of a medical issue, or simply a thank-you for what we do, we truly appreciated every interaction.
Events like these help us build relationships, encourage trust, and give our neighbors a better understanding of the work EMS providers do behind the scenes and on the streets. It is important for us to be involved in these types of community activities. Not just to represent our agency, but to be approachable and available to those we serve.
We thank Walmart for inviting us to be a part of today’s event and for creating a space where the community could come together. We look forward to continuing our outreach efforts and staying involved in events like this across our service area. |
