July 25, 2025
Today, the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences honored the Paramedic Class of 2025, alongside the Phoenixville Hospital Paramedic Class of 2024. We are proud to share that two members of Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS—now Paramedics Train and Rodriguez—were among the graduates. The members and officers of EHBEMS extend their sincere congratulations and appreciation for their dedication and achievement. The Reading Hospital Paramedic Program is nationally accredited through CAAHEP via CoAEMSP and follows the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Standard Curriculum. The program blends classroom education, clinical rotations, and a field internship to prepare students for advanced prehospital care. Topics include anatomy, cardiology, pharmacology, trauma, and emergency medicine. Students also complete ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS certifications. Clinical experiences in departments like the ER, ICU, OB, and pediatrics lead into a final field internship with real-world EMS responsibilities. Despite a power outage caused by storms, the ceremony continued without interruption—fitting for a group of professionals trained to perform under pressure. We celebrate all the graduates and their supporters on this milestone achievement.
