| On September 6th, 2025, Caernarvon Fire Company (Churchtown) along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS were dispatched to the area of Twin County and Best Roads in Caernarvon Township for an auto accident.
The Lancaster County 911 Center quickly upgraded the assignment to entrapment which added paramedics from Tower Health (Micu 93) and a rescue truck from the Honey Brook Fire Company. Caernarvon Fire Company units, Ambulance 189, Micu 93 all made the response and were advised by the Lancaster County 911 Center that multiple callers reported a 3-vehicle accident with at least 5 patients and 1 subject trapped.
Ambulance 89 and Berks Medic 682-1 self-attached to the assignment as additional resources while the Lancaster County 911 Center added ambulance from FivePointville EMS and New Holland EMS to make a total of 6 transporting EMS units. Lancaster Chief 34 (Fisher) arrived and assumed command of the incident and confirmed a total of 5 patients with 2 subjects trapped in separate vehicles. Ambulance 189 arrived and triaged the scene and confirmed that there would be 3 BLS and 2 ALS.
Caernarvon Fire Company units and Honey Brook Fire Company (Rescue 33) arrived and began extrication of the trapped patients. As additional EMS units arrived, they were assigned their patient by Ambulance 189's crew. Thanks to the quick extrication by the Caernarvon and Honey Brook Fire Companies all patients were in the care of EMS shortly after their arrival.
All EMS units transported their respective patients to an area hospital for follow up care. Ambulance 36 was recalled prior to their arrival at the scene and made available to help cover the area as the EMS resources were exhausted due to this accident. Caernarvon and Honey Brook Fire Companies remained on the scene to assist with lighting and traffic control for the Pennsylvania State Police.
All Elverson-Honey Brook EMS units cleared the call at 00:30. |
